They say how you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day — and  chale, it’s true. A scattered morning = a scattered mind, and a scattered mind = a scattered life. But with the right habits, you  can create a routine that boosts your mood, keeps you productive, and helps you reach your goals. Here’s a guide on how to build a morning routine for success, Accra Chic style.   

1.Wake Up Early (ish) : You don’t need to be up  at 4AM (unless you’re that type), but waking up just 30–60 mins earlier than usual gives you quiet “me time” before the day gets hectic. This will always put you ahead of your time.  

2. Make Your Bed : Simple, but effective. Making your bed first thing gives you a small win that sets the tone for bigger wins throughout the day. If you don't get the win in making your bed, just imagine coming backhome all stressed and tired, but you have to make your bed before you sleep.  

3. Hydrate Before You Caffeinate : Before reaching for coffee or tea, drink a glass of water. It wakes up your system, boosts metabolism, and hydrates your skin. Glow starts early. 

 4. Mindfulness / Prayer / Meditation : Spend 5 –10 minutes connecting with yourself or God. Whether through prayer,  journaling, affirmations, or deep breathing — it clears your head and fills you with purpose and gratitude.  

5. Move Your Body : Exercise doesn’t have to mean a full gym session. Stretch, dance, do yoga, or even take a brisk walk. Movement = energy + focus.  

6. Plan Your Day : Write down 3 main goals or tasks you want to achieve within the day. Prioritize what’s important so  you don’t waste energy on unproductive things.  

7. Eat a Healthy Breakfast  Your body needs fuel to perform. Think oats, smoothie, or eggs with veggies. Avoid  too much sugar in the morning — it’ll crash your energy later. Also eating a light meal in the morning allows the heavy ones from the day before digest with ease.

8. Limit Screen Time at the Start : Don’t dive straight into WhatsApp, IG, or emails. That floods your brain before it’s ready and you'll lose focus Give yourself at least 30 minutes of peace before the social media storm.  

9. Get Ready With Intention : Even if you’re working from home, freshen up, dress well (even casual chic), and feel good. Looking good = confidence boost = productivity.  

10. Stay Consistent The secret to a successful routine is consistency. Even small steps, repeated daily, add up to major lifestyle changes over time.
