From Humble Beginnings

Growing up in Shama, Western Region, Ghana, Beatrice was instilled with a strong sense of responsibility, creativity, and entrepreneurship. As the firstborn of her family, she would often help out at her parents' mini mart after school, even managing the shop while in primary school. These early experiences shaped her passion for service and entrepreneurship.

A Shift in Perspective

Initially, Beatrice envisioned herself as a bank manager or lawyer. However, her entrepreneurial mindset developed during her first year at university. Life took a dramatic turn when her mother lost her job in 2021, and Beatrice had to step in to support her siblings. Despite the challenges, she persevered, crediting God's guidance throughout her journey.

The Birth of Blips Horizon

Beatrice's business journey began in 2018 with small-scale trading. The real concept of Blips took off in 2020 after the COVID-19 bans were lifted. She started with clothing, added importation, and later supported it with courier services. Although she faced setbacks, including stolen bikes and scams by suppliers, Beatrice remained determined. Today, she balances her 9-to-5 job with building her caregiving, nanny, and house service business alongside her importation business.

Beyond her well-known ventures, Blips Thrift Store and Blips Imports, Beatrice also runs Fertility Support Services, assisting clients with sperm and egg donors, surrogates, and IVF journey management.

Beatrice identifies publicity and building trust as significant challenges when starting her business. However, her perseverance and strategic approach have helped her establish a loyal client base.

Through Blips Horizon, Beatrice aims to create jobs, provide trusted care for families, and make daily life easier through reliable services. Her ultimate goal is to empower people, whether through caregiving, courier support, or employment opportunities, enabling communities to thrive.

In the next 5-10 years, Beatrice envisions establishing Blips as a trusted, multifaceted brand. Her advice to her younger self would be to learn about financial discipline and management. For fellow women starting out in business, she emphasizes the importance of perseverance, strategizing, and never giving up.
