NERVOUSNESS 

Nervousness is a subclass of anxiety and common feeling we get when we are facing an uncertain situation or before we face an uncertain situation. The state of being nervous is a very normal human reaction and temporal in most cases. In cases of persistence even after basic management methods are applied, special psychological attention is needed to relieve or manage it. 

What causes nervousness?

Many relatable are causes of nervousness may be;

  • Uncertainty in the outcome of an event or what's ahead of us.
  • Pressure to perform 
  • Memories of the past 
  • Fear of judgment
  • Preparation towards certain events
  • Biological reaction 

All these are factors which influence our body response to certain situations.

Signs which shows that you are nervous 

Nervousness comes with many signs through behavior, and emotions. Here are some common signs. 

  • Pacing back and forth.
  • Talking too quickly or stammering 
  • Overthinking 
  • Restlessness 
  • Racing heartbeat 
  • Clammy hands, and 
  • Avoiding eye contact.

Mine personally is avoiding eye contact 😂.

Managing the feeling of stress

Nervousness is a very normal feeling and we shouldn't allow it to inhibit us from what we're supposed to do or what's ahead of us. Here are some common and simple way to deal with stress;

  • Prepare and practice: Jittery feelings come from fear of the unknown so a better preparation towards an event will make you more confident in what you will do.
  •  Share your thoughts: Share your emotional load with friends,or people you are comfortable with. This makes you feel ease.
  • Motivate yourself: stay positive and speak positivity to yourself verbally.
  • Stay present: Instead of thinking about the worse that might happen, focus on ways to do better in your current state.
  • Use relaxation techniques: Utilise relaxation techniques such as deep breaths, stretching, and shaking your hands. Mindfulness reduces overthinking.
  • Visualise success: Imagine yourself doing great at the things you don't expect to do well in. This aids in training the mind for positive outcomes.

Nervousness is very normal human nature and manageable at the same time. You totally overcome and skip such feelings if you continue to master what you do and the ways to manage it. Be the best version of yourself and be optimistic about your future. Zero Panic!
